6.6 magnitude quake jolts Panama-Colombia border, no damage reported

By India Today World Desk: An earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter Scale struck in the Gulf of Darien near the border of Panama and Colombia late on Wednesday, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

Tremors were felt in both countries, news agency Reuters quoted the USGS as saying.

After a few minutes, a 4.9 magnitude aftershock was experienced at the same spot.

In Panama, civil protection agency Sinaproc said there were no immediate reports of casualties or damage and the situation is being monitored.
