Highlights
2K has announced Borderlands Collection: Pandora’s Box, a collection of Borderlands games that allows players to experience the entire franchise so far, excluding one spin-off game. While fans eagerly await news on Borderlands 4, they can check out the newly-announced Borderlands Collection: Pandora’s Box, which includes multiple games and DLC. Gamers who already own some of the games in the collection can get the rest at a discounted price for a limited time, but the collection will eventually retail for $150.
2K has officially announced Borderlands Collection: Pandora’s Box, a collection of Borderlands games that will give players the chance to experience the entirety of the company’s beloved FPS looter franchise as it exists so far, minus one popular spin-off game. Borderlands has been one of 2K’s biggest franchises for the past decade, and while fans are patiently awaiting news on Borderlands 4, this collection could help tide them over.
It’s an exciting time to be a Borderlands fan. While Borderlands 4 has yet to be announced, a feature film based on the game franchise is set to premiere in 2024, directed by Eli Roth and boasting an all-star cast. While fans wait to see more of the Borderlands movie and continue waiting for news on Borderlands 4, they can check out the newly-announced Borderlands Collection: Pandora’s Box in case they are missing any of the featured games.
Launching on September 1 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X, Borderlands Collection: Pandora’s Box includes Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Tales from the Borderlands, Borderlands 3, New Tales from the Borderlands, and all the DLC that has been released for the various games of the years. Most of the games are FPS looter-shooters, though Tales from the Borderlands and New Tales from the Borderlands are Telltale-style narrative-driven adventure games. Characters from those games appear in the main series, so they’re still definitely worth playing if fans want to get the full Borderlands story.
Borderlands Collection: Pandora’s Box Games List
2K is offering a unique way for gamers that already own some of the games in the collection to get the rest. For a limited time, gamers on Xbox that own any of the Borderlands games digitally can get the rest of the collection for $30. Those on PlayStation need digital or physical copies of Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, or Borderlands 3. And finally, those on Steam can pick up the collection and get a discount based on which games they already have in their library.
Anyone that already owns some of the Borderlands games and wants to take advantage of this deal should do so while they can. And those that have yet to play Borderlands but are interested in picking up this massive collection should be sure to do so soon as well. The collection is being sold for $60 for a limited time, but it will eventually retail for a whopping $150.
The one Borderlands game that’s not part of the collection is Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is a spin-off of the Borderlands franchise and has a medieval fantasy theme. It was likely excluded from the collection since its plot doesn’t have much to do with the ongoing Borderlands narrative, but it would still have been nice to see it as part of the collection. Fans will just have to buy it separately for now.
