In Far Cry 5, the main character is a junior deputy sheriff trying to shut down a doomsday cult called the Project at Eden’s Gate. This cult is led by the charismatic Joseph Seed and his family, with one of his brothers controlling each region of Hope County. Although the player’s objective is to end this doomsday cult and bring peace back to Hope County, the Seed family will not go down without a fight and can count on their heavily armed cult members to do everything they can to stop the Sheriff from capturing their leader. With fast-paced action, a large American-inspired open world, a branching story filled with deadly threats and multiplayer modes, Far Cry 5 was a commercial success and became the fastest selling game in the Far Cry franchise.
