Genshin Impact Chart Shows Lyney and Yelan First Week Banner Revenue

Highlights The ongoing Limited Character Banner in Genshin Impact featuring Lyney and Lynette has not performed well in terms of revenue, ranking in the bottom 30% on the list. The low performance may be due to the lack of flexibility in using Lyney compared to other DPS units, who can only be effectively used in a mono-Pyro team. Many players are saving up their Primogems for future characters like Wriothesley and Neuvillete, who are expected to be five-star units in Genshin Impact update 4.1.
A Genshin Impact chart shows the banner revenue numbers of the ongoing Limited Character Banner after one week. The first banner of the Fontaine update features the five-star Pyro bow user Lyney alongside his sister and assistant Lynette who’s placed on the four-star lineup.
The double banner also includes a re-run for one of the most popular Genshin Impact characters, Liyue’s Hydro user Yelan who still holds the overall revenue record alongside Hu Tao. Players who want to get some of these characters need to spend their Primogems as soon as possible since the banner is scheduled to expire around September 5.
A chart on the popular GenshinLab website shows how well the current double banner has done after one week, at least when it comes to revenue. According to the chart, the banner did not perform too well since it’s placed in the bottom 30% on the list which comes as a big surprise considering that it was part of a new major update. In comparison, the first Sumeru banner that featured Tighnari and Zhongli recorded almost twice the revenue as the current banner after the same number of days. However, the main reason could be that Tighnari was the first five-star Dendro character in the game which is why many players probably wanted to have him on their team.

It should also be noted that the data shown in the chart only represents iOS devices on the game’s Chinese server. While Lyney has some of the most special combat animations due to his affiliations with magic, he is not a very flexible character, at least compared to other DPS units in Genshin Impact. The only go-to party for Lyney is the mono-Pyro team which consists of 3 Pyro users and a neutral support like Kazuha or Venti.
On the other hand, Yelan is one of the most flexible characters in Genshin Impact, and she can fit almost any team composition that needs a decent Hydro applicator or sub-DPS. The main reason why the Lyney and Yelan double banner is not doing too well is probably the fact that many players are saving up their Primogems for some of the future characters that have already been confirmed.
The game’s social media accounts have announced two new characters, Wriothesley and Neuvillete, for Genshin Impact update 4.1. While HoYoverse is yet to confirm their rarities, going by recent leaks and rumors it’s safe to assume that both of them will be five-star units.
Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
