Reporters who were waiting for Biden on the South Lawn of the White House witnessed the moment as the president bumped his forehead while stepping out of the helicopter. Although he didn’t seem to sustain any immediate injuries, Biden rubbed the spot where he had hit his head as he made his way across the lawn.

“I got sandbagged,” the president stopped to say to reporters, seemingly referencing his recent stumble on stage, which he claims was caused by a bag of sand. “No questions, no,” Biden told the reporters before walking away.

Earlier in the day, Biden had delivered a commencement address at the Air Force Academy graduation ceremony and took a surprising fall as he left the podium. Concerns about the 80-year-old president’s health quickly emerged on social media, with some expressing worry and even suggesting that he should not continue as president in 2025.

White House communications director Ben Labolt tried to alleviate concerns by explaining that Biden had simply tripped over a sandbag while shaking hands on stage. He reassured the public in a Twitter post immediately following the incident, stating, “He’s fine.”

These recent incidents highlight the ongoing scrutiny and discussion surrounding the 80-year-old President’s health and physical abilities.
