Kick already has a category for Grand Theft Auto 6

With more Grand Theft Auto 6 details continuing to emerge, popular live streaming service Kick already has a category for the sequel to Rockstar Games’ most successful title. Ignoring the groundbreaking Grand Theft Auto 6 leaks that have transpired, little is known about the next installment in the franchise, but that hasn’t stopped Kick from booking a slot for the game in advance.
Rockstar Games has made efforts to remove Grand Theft Auto 6 leaks that happened in 2022, which included images of two playable characters, but rumors about the game persist. While Rockstar Games has confirmed that it’s working on the next Grand Theft Auto series, it hasn’t released images of its own, resulting in speculation about when the game might launch – something that may have inspired this change to Kick. The new streaming service called Kick was created in response to Twitch banning gambling content, which is allowed on the former with backing from popular Twitch streamer Trainwrecks.
Kick’s Twitter account recently shared an image of the site’s recommended games to watch, including the likes of Apex Legends, Call of Duty: Warzone 2, and Fortnite. Between two such games that Kick streamers are already playing is a card for Grand Theft Auto 6, which features the Vice City aesthetic teased by the leaks. Aside from this image and the GTA 6 header, the Kick image mostly hints at the site’s anticipation for the sequel to Grand Theft Auto 5, which is a huge success in viewership as well as player numbers.
Since the existence of GTA 6 has been confirmed by both the developer and the leaker, Kick may be doing some background work to get the category up and running now so they don’t have to when it actually launches. The image shared by Kick shows that the game has zero viewers, suggesting it hasn’t simply replaced Grand Theft Auto 5, which is still streamed to thousands of accounts on the platform. Due to the popularity of Grand Theft Auto 5 and GTA RP on Kick, Twitch and YouTube, it’s likely that GTA 6 will have a huge audience when it is finally released by Rockstar Games.
Given that Rockstar Games has yet to reveal Grand Theft Auto 6, it remains unclear what the final product will look like, as leaked GTA 6 screenshots highlight that the game is clearly in development. While Kick’s audience is still paltry compared to established platforms like Twitch and YouTube, the site can secure more popular streamers like Adin Ross and Buddha ahead of GTA 6’s release, which could help grow its audience.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently in development.
