REED Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a leading manufacturing company with a global client base.

Assembly Team Leader

The role:
 Supervise and support supervisors, team leaders and operatives to maximise productivity.
 Collaborate effectively with teams so each section operates to target.
 Ensure sections are operating to full capacity and monitor the performance data base.
 Production planning and resource/skill allocation to ensure delivery of service to schedule within all relevant quality specifications
 Ensure all employees are trained on SWP’s and update records.
 Manage, develop and motivate direct reporting staff
 Monitor, measure and report on production related process performance, general issues
 Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace
 Adhere to the company’s quality systems, processes and procedures
 Promoting Continuous Improvement
 Carry out Team Briefs with Team Leaders and Supervisors

The person:
 Familiar with working in a manufacturing environment
 Ideally will have previous supervisory experience with leadership and people skills
 Good standard knowledge of automated processes, CI & lean manufacturing techniques
 H&S and Environmental requirements. Experienced in carrying out Risk Assessments and writing SSW’s. Ideally hold IOSH Managing Safely Certificate
 Absence management, investigation/disciplinary procedures
 Effective communication skills including organisation and planning
 Excellent time management and prioritisation skills. Motivate, lead and development skills
 Familiar with Continuous Improvement Activities and working with employees to achieve goals set

Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:00 – 16:30 hours – DAYS ONLY

Expected salary: £21548 per year
