OnePlus 11 Marble Odyssey coming to India soon, price leaked ahead of official launch

By Abhik Sengupta: OnePlus has announced a OnePlus 11 Marble Odyssey special edition for India. The new edition sits alongside the existing Eternal Green and Titan Black variants but uses a different finish to appeal to a niche group of customers. This is not the first OnePlus smartphone to get a special edition, as the company has done several partnerships in the past to attract a distinct group of consumers. Once in a while, the company also launches concept phones to keep the hype around the smartphone. Earlier this year, the company unveiled the OnePlus 11 Concept, which featured the industry’s first Active Cryo Flux cooling technology in a smartphone. The OnePlus 11 Marble Odyssey’s price has also been leaked ahead of the launch.

OnePlus has not yet revealed the exact launch date of the OnePlus 11 5G Marble Odyssey. In a release, the company stated the Marble Odyssey edition “narrows the gap between art and technology”. It adds, “Enthusiasts and technology aficionados across India can look forward to owning a device that is as unique as their personality.”

The phone appears to be a rebranded version of the OnePlus 11 Limited Jupiter Rock edition, which debuted in China in March. At that time, OnePlus said that Jupiter Rock was inspired by the surface of the biggest planet in our Solar System. The phone also uses a “3D microcrystalline rock” material for the chassis. OnePlus explained the process to create the rear panel is complicated and that the yield rate is 25 per cent compared to the green variant of the OnePlus 11.

Apart from the looks, the underlying technology will remain the same. It means the OnePlus 11 5G Marble Odyssey will likely feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and Hasslebald-tuned cameras. The rear camera system may include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 camera coupled with a 48-megapixel Sony IMX581 ultra wide-angle camera and a 32-megapixel portrait camera. On the front, the phone may house a 16-megapixel camera for selfies. There could also be a 5000mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging.

Since it is a special edition phone, the OnePlus 11 5G Marble Odyssey will likely be available in the highest storage configuration. It means customers will only get the option of 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Ahead of the official announcement, Twitter user Mukul Sharma, who has a decent record with leaks, claims the price will be set at Rs 64,999. Customers will also get free OnePlus Buds Z2 earbuds.

The regular OnePlus 11 variant with 128GB storage costs Rs 56,999. The model with 256GB storage costs Rs 61,999.
