Plane crashes into two-story Texas home through roof, 3 injured

By India Today World Desk: A plane with three people on board crashed into a Texas home through the roof on Sunday afternoon in Georgetown.

The two-story home was vacant at the time of the crash, which happened just before noon in the 500 block of Northwood Drive, which is near the Georgetown Executive Airport, The New York Post reported.

All three people aboard the small plane were taken to a local hospital, the Georgetown Fire Department said.

“We are currently working a plane crash on the 500-block of North Wood Drive. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will begin their investigation this afternoon. Crews will remain on scene to assist,” the Georgetown Fire Department announced on Facebook.

They warned residents to avoid the area amid the investigation.

“A small portion of Northwest Blvd will remain closed for the time,” police said.
