Pokemon Fan Creates Evolution for Poltchageist

Highlights
The reveal of Poltchageist in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s upcoming DLC has generated considerable interest within the online community, given the recent unveils of other new Pokemon forms. A fan has created an evolutionary form design for Poltchageist called “Sinischa,” which features a Japanese-inspired teapot body and a matcha green tea whisk. The design concept has been well-received by fellow Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fans, with some speculating that the developers may actually reveal a similar evolved form. Players can likely expect more design concepts from this fan in the future.
A Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fan has just created a design concept for an evolutionary form of Poltchageist, the latest pocket creature announced for the game’s upcoming DLC. With the first part of Scarlet and Violet’s The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC coming in a few weeks, it seems like the right time for the developers to unveil the new Pokemon that players will encounter in the update.
The reveal of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Poltchageist seems to have already garnered a lot of interest from the online community. This is not surprising, given how the fan base looks primed and ready for more reveals after the Paradox forms of Raikou and Cobalion and evolution form for Applin were recently unveiled. With the addition of Poltchageist into the Scarlet and Violet Pokedex, it is likely that the Pokemon will be the subject of many creative fans’ pieces, whether its an evolution concept or designs for a possible Paradox or Tera form.
On Reddit, user HertzBurst shared a design concept for an evolutionary form of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Poltchageist. Calling it “Sinischa,” the design seems to take inspiration from Sword and Shield’s Ghost-type Polteageist. However, instead of having an English-looking teapot body, the Pokemon uses a Japanese-looking teapot that is traditionally used for brewing and pouring the country’s famous green tea. The evolved form also holds a matcha green tea whisk in one of its hands, tying the whole theme together.
HertzBurst’s design seems very apt, given that Poltchageist is heavily-inspired by Japanese green tea, and will be found in the Japanese-themed Kitakami Village in The Teal Mask DLC. On the forums, fellow Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fans seemed to enjoy the design concept, with one stating that they feel like the developers will actually reveal an evolved form that is similar to the artist’s work. Some also discussed the naming convention for the current roster of tea-inspired Pokemon, namely Polteageist and Sinistea, arguing what differentiates the pocket creatures from each other and whether the Pokemon is actually the tea or the pot.
Nevertheless, the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet community can probably expect more design concepts from HertzBurst in the future. They have already contributed a lot of Paradox form fan art for fellow fans to enjoy, and this evolved form for Poltchageist will likely not be the last. Hopefully they also share their pieces when more new Pokemon are announced for the second part of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s DLC.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now for Nintendo Switch.
