Pokemon fan creates futuristic mecha form for Leafeon

One particularly talented Pokémon fan created a futuristic mecha form for Leafeon, giving it a makeover that many people praised for its natural look. Hundreds of artworks based on the Pokémon franchise have surfaced on the internet, with some fans even creating a regional variant for Incineroar. Creativity is how some community members celebrate their favorite franchise.
Leafeon, a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IV, is one of the final evolutions of Eevee that has become a fan favorite in recent years. Also known as the Verdant Pokémon, Leafeon can be considered a pacifist, through more defensive abilities like Leaf Guard, which it uses to protect itself from receiving any status conditions during bright sunlight. Leafeon’s hidden ability is Chlorophyll, which doubles his speed during periods of said weather conditions. As with most Eevee evolutions, there are better options than Leafeon in games like Pokemon Go and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, though Leafeon has well-rounded stats that allow it to fit on a variety of teams.
A crafty Pokémon fan known as a shunixe on Reddit envisioned a futuristic mecha form for Leafeon while retaining its brown color scheme. Leafeon’s new structure is plant-like and has a multitude of green shoots. The original poster appears to have used vertical solar panels to give Leafeon a makeover, which quickly caught the attention of many fans. In the comments, they praised this original design for its natural vibes.
This isn’t the first time members of the Pokémon community have created creative art for Leafeon. A talented fan imagined an autumn-themed Leafeon by changing its original color scheme. Another fan also shared a concept for Leafeon’s human form, which depicts the Pokémon as a young maiden. Inspired by classic RPG franchises, this unique artwork retains Leafeon’s original design from the Pokémon games.
Some Pokemon fans were hoping to see a new Eeveelution in Scarlet and Violet, but Game Freak hasn’t introduced one in a long time. Since the introduction of Sylveon in Gen Six, fans have been waiting for an update to the Eevee lineup. Thanks to its unique ability to evolve into multiple forms, Eevee remains one of the most popular Pokémon in the franchise. However, many continue to hold out for the possibility that Game Freak will give Eevee a new form in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s DLC, which is slated to release later this year.
