Survivor reveals hilarious stats for Rick the Door Technician

The Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Twitter account revealed a funny stat about Rick the Door Technician’s combat prowess. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was plagued by a series of debilitating bugs upon release that made the game unplayable for some players on all platforms, especially PC. After a series of patches, however, players have reported a much more stable experience.
Star Wars: Jedi Survivor leans into humor much more than its predecessor, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. From overconfident Battle Droids to various hysterical bits of small talk that Cal Kestis hears throughout his adventure. Even some of Survivor’s glitches were pretty funny. But there was one joke that was a clear winner above the rest, and it was a boss fight of all things.
Rick the Door Technician is a Stormtrooper who believes he is a formidable enemy. He is, of course, a complete pushover. Rick can be found in Nova Garon, an Imperial satellite station. Once the player leads Cal through a series of locked doors as he traverses the interior of the Imperial fortress, dramatic music will play, signifying the arrival of one of Star Wars Jedi’s challenging bosses: Survivor. And then, at the end of a long hallway, comes Rick, the door technician, a riot trooper who has sworn to kill Cal. But Rick is literally a joke. Most players can easily dispatch it in a variety of ways in a matter of seconds. The keyword is “most”, because according to a tweet from the official EA Star Wars account, there are actually quite a few players who have been beaten by Rick the Door Technician.
The tweet provides a statistical analysis of the overall community gameplay experience of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. For example, 52.5% of players chose to play on the Jedi Knight difficulty level. The most popular light saber color was white. It also states that 489 players were defeated by Rick the Door Technician, a character that was supposed to be a joke.
It’s perfectly understandable that the Rancor boss fight in Survivor claimed the lives of over 9 million players. He is the third boss in the game. Gamers are just starting to get acquainted with the nuances of the combat system. The same cannot be said for Rick the door technician. Players meet Rick midway through the game, meaning they must be a highly powerful Jedi who’s survived some tricky attacks by this point. And yet, nearly 500 players were taken down by the Stormtrooper with a lot of heart, but very little in the way of combat skill. Thanks to a small contingent of players, there are some alternate universe versions of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor where Rick the Door Technician is the hero of the Empire.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is available now for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
