Completing the Back to Vectera Main Quest requires finding three Power Cells to fix the Comms Computer in Starfield. Now that Barrett and Heller are taken away as hostages, players are tasked with setting the Comms Computer to find the two missing men.

Triggering the Back to Vectera Main Quest is quite easy and can be done early on in Starfield. While the mission is considered somewhat time-consuming as it forces players to visit three different planets, fixing the Comms Computer can be easily done upon collecting the required materials.

To fix the Comms Computer in Starfield, players must find three Power Cells and insert them in the Power Receptacles. Upon completing the conversation with Lin during the Back to Vectera Quest, head to the orange door to the right and open it by interacting with the lever. Go inside, then turn left and open the folding door leading to an office. Approach the desk and take the Vectera Control Room Key.

Get out of the office and walk towards another orange door then activate it using the nearby switch. On the other side of the door are three empty Power Receptacles and the Vectera Control Room. Use the key and head inside to interact with the broken Comms Computer. Alternatively, Protagonists can try lock-picking the door in Starfield to progress in the Cyber Jockey Achievement. As it turns out, obtaining three Power Cells is necessary to activate it.

Back to Vectera is triggered once Sarah asks players to look for Barrett at the end of The Old Neighborhood Quest.

There are a total of six Power Cells scattered around the area and players may choose the Cells they need. All of the Cells serve the same purpose, so it doesn’t really matter which one is obtained first.

Here are all possible locations to obtain a Power Cell in Starfield:

Approach the shelf next to the yellow Storage Crate and grab a Power Cell. Head out of the compartment and interact with the robot up ahead to acquire a Power Cell. Collect another cell from the table next to the robot. Approach the crates and barrels ahead to find a Power Cell. Speak with Lin to get another one. Once three of the six mentioned Power Cells are obtained, return to the Vectera Control Room in Starfield and insert the Cells inside the Power Receptacles. Now, the Comms Computer is functioning and players will shortly retrieve a message from Barrett and Heller.
