Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Player Achieves 'Powerless Flight'

A Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player has achieved “powerless flight” with the help of a caged Rito. Of all the unique Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom creations that have been shared, some serve purposes like traversal, combat, and farming, and this player has found a way to get around that requires no power.
Since Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was released, many players have shared their builds created using the Ultrahand and Fuse abilities. While Fuse only combines two items, Tears of the Kingdom’s Ultrahand allows players to make things like ground and flying vehicles, mechs, unicycles, and more. As Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom fans try to create the most optimal vehicles, a player has used one item to achieve what they call powerless flight.
Reddit user Dylan1234no recently shared a clip of their Ultrahand item experiments in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. In the video, the player is using the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom ability on a cage to catch a Rito that’s flying around. Rito are a race in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that can be spotted in certain areas of the map. Upon capturing a Rito in their cage, the player releases the Ultrahand and observes the crate bouncing around as the character continues to fly along its path uninterrupted. The video then cuts to Dylan1234no riding the caged Rito around an area of Lookout Landing that shows Link doesn’t fall off the object despite some erratic movements.
According to Dylan1234no, the cage used for the Rito was from the east coast of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s Hyrule and was manually brought to Lookout Landing. Because Rito aren’t common in Hyrule, Lookout Landing may be among just a few locations where players can utilize this trick. Demonstrating the best method of getting to the caged Rito, Dylan1234no used a rocket shield to shoot upward, then the glider to land on top of it. While most other Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom aircraft use fans and rockets to travel impressive distances across Hyrule, Dylan1234no’s video proves that other methods of flight are possible.
Because the Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Rito continues to fly in a circle, it’s unlikely that Dylan1234no can take it outside its designated area. Although the Rito in Dylan1234no’s video can provide a different perspective of this part of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s Hyrule, it may serve little purpose due to its limitations. While it isn’t technically a powerless flight, as the caged Rito is providing the power, the object doesn’t drain batteries like fans would.
